For when “trust the process” isn't enough

We are the process.

Every club tells parents to trust the process. Almost none of them can tell you what it is. We can — because we built it: your player's development, measured game by game.

You've heard it a hundred times. After the tough loss, the healthy scratch, the line shuffle: “Trust the process.”

So you do. You pay for the AAA team, the spring league, the private lessons, the 5 a.m. ice. And one day you pull the coach aside and ask the obvious question: what is the process, exactly?

You get a list. Ice time. More games. More reps. Compete harder. Be patient. They mean well — but notice what's missing: any way to know if it's working. A process you can't measure isn't a process. It's a hope.

The gap

Inputs aren't proof

“The process”

  • Ice time and more games
  • Reps, patience, "compete harder"
  • A few sentences of feedback a season
  • No way to see if any of it is working

A real process

  • An OVR rating from real games
  • A coach-style report on any game you choose
  • Graded against their own division
  • Progress you can watch over a season

We are the process

What a real process looks like

  1. 1

    Measure it

Your player's real games become an OVR rating across six skills — a true scoreboard for where they stand.

  2. 2

    Coach it

Turn any game into a report: what worked, what to fix, and a specific habit to work on next.

  3. 3

    Track it

The number moves as the work goes in. You see development happen instead of taking it on faith.

We don't replace your coach

A good coach is irreplaceable. But most players get only a few sentences of feedback a season, and none of it is written down or tracked. We give the development your coach is working toward a scoreboard — so “trust the process” finally comes with proof.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not at all. A good coach is doing real work — and "the process" is real. The problem is it's invisible. There's no scoreboard for development, so parents are asked to take it on faith. We don't replace your coach; we give the development they're working toward a way to see it.

Why trust the number

Built by hockey people. Backed by real data.

Pro-level evaluation

Designed with coaches who've worked in pro and elite youth hockey — your player is graded the way scouts actually evaluate talent, not by a self-rating.

Real games, not opinions

7,315 players across 6 leagues and 230 teams. Every rating comes from real game data, measured against your player's own division.

The number is earned

Nobody scores themselves. The OVR comes off the ice and it moves as the work goes in — so progress is something you can see, not argue about.

Every parent asks the same thing — is my child actually developing? For the first time there's a real answer on the ice, not a hunch. This is how pro organizations evaluate players, built for youth hockey.
