INJURY & SAFETY LOGGING
A quick way to log an injury the moment it happens, keep a private record for your staff, and know who's available for your next game.
Log a game injury right after the game, from the Injuries card on your Last Game page. It takes about three taps, and you can add more detail later if you want to.
Something happens at practice instead? Log it from that player's own page. The “Log practice injury” button opens the same quick-log sheet, already pointed at that player.
Pick the player, where it's bothering him (head, upper body, or lower body), then the specific body part. That's the three taps. From there, say how it happened, whether he left the game, and flag it if there's any chance of a concussion.
Want to record more? Add details (optional) opens a few extra fields: period, game clock, contact type, whether a penalty was called, a short private description (up to 280 characters), and who treated him. None of it is required to save.
Right after you save, we ask: Out for next game? Answer Yes and the player moves to Injured Reserve. He stays on your roster, but comes out of the Line Builder's candidate pool until someone marks him recovered. Answer No and he's marked playing through it; nothing changes on your roster.
Already have a player on IR for another reason? We won't touch that status. It only moves a player onto IR when the roster doesn't already say so.
Open injuries show right on that player's page, next to the Active/IR/LTIR toggle. Tap Mark recovered, confirm the return date (it defaults to today), and the injury closes out.
If that was his only open injury and the roster has him on IR for it, IR clears automatically. A player with more than one open injury, or on IR/LTIR for a different reason, stays exactly as he is. Closing one injury never overrides the others.
Injury logs are private to your own team's coaching staff. Another team never sees your injuries, and a different coach on your own team never sees another team's. Families will get their own view of their own kid's injury history in a later update; for now it's coach-only.
A player whose family hasn't claimed their profile yet needs one extra step before you can log an injury on them: your head coach confirms, once per season, that your families have given consent for the team to record injury information. After that one confirmation, the whole roster is covered for the season.
An assistant coach sees the same unclaimed player greyed out, with a note to ask the head coach. Only the head coach can give that confirmation.
