Share Shift Excellence with other hockey parents. When your friend subscribes, you both earn free pucks.
Every account gets a unique 6-character referral code. Find yours on the referral page.
Send your friend the direct link — shiftexcellence.com/join/YOUR_CODE — or they can enter the code manually during signup.
Your friend signs up (Google or email — both work) and subscribes to any paid plan (Starter or Pro).
Once Stripe confirms their subscription checkout, the pucks drop into both accounts automatically.

You get email updates at each stage so you always know what's happening:
Code used — someone signed up with your referral code. Pucks are pending until they subscribe.
Reminder — if your friend hasn't subscribed yet, you get a nudge.
Fulfilled — your friend subscribed. Pucks have been added to your balance.
Is there a limit on how many people I can refer?
No. Refer as many people as you want. You get 5 pucks for each one who subscribes.
Does it work with Google signup or just email?
Both. Your friend can sign up with Google OAuth or a regular email account. The referral code is tracked either way.
Can someone use more than one referral code?
No. Each account can only be linked to one referral code. The first code entered is the one that sticks.
Do referral pucks expire?
No. Pucks earned from referrals are permanent. They stay in your balance until you use them.
When exactly do I get my pucks?
Pucks are awarded when Stripe confirms your friend's paid-plan checkout — not when they simply create an account. This prevents abuse from fake signups.
What if my friend cancels right after subscribing?
You keep the pucks. Once awarded, they're yours regardless of what your friend does with their subscription.
Your dashboard has a Reward Locker card that shows the status of every referral:
